Segway Wachau was founded by Thorsten Busch. Located in the heart of the Wachau, we offer the enterprising host a new and future-oriented way of getting around. 10 Segways i2 Se and 18 Segways X2 are available to you. We plan to bring the beauty of the landscape and the way of life of its inhabitants closer in the Wachau different tours to our guests in a new, exciting and yet gentle way. Tour: to neighboring towns Weisskirchen and Arnsdorf

The start is at the Segwayverleihstelle “The Busch & Segway Wachau” in “Terrassenrestraurant beach cafe” in Spitz directly on the banks of the Danube. Own parking, access directly to the federal highway B3. After enrollment for newcomers (Euro 10,00 incl insurance, mandatory), we cross the Rollfähre the Danube. On the right bank of the Danube are 3 km cycle path without traffic available and allow you to make friends slowly with the Segway. Passing Arnsdorf, flowering gardens and tranquil beaches Danube we soon reach St. Lorenzen, across from Weisskirchen. There you have the opportunity to test the Segway in the terrain. Meet at the rental office of Segway Wachau in Terrace Restaurant “beach café” Donaulände 7, 3620 Spitz.

The enrollment at the Donaulände happening right next to the Danube garden. To enable us to cope with the steep slopes of the vineyard Lagler with the Segway, we get a little practice in easy terrain. Then we go:

Under the B3 through we reach the cloister where Karl Lagler and Johann Donabaum 3000 GV seedlings have been planted. We climb over the Mieslingtal the Red Gate, directly through the vineyard at the foot of Singerriedel Axpoint. There, high above Spitz with a wonderful view, we provide an overview of the layers = vineyards from the winery Lagler. Up and down: Red Gate, Pluris, Steinporz and Hartberg to small “Midsummer Place” of the Lagler family in the middle of the vineyards. The start is at the Segwayverleihstelle “The bush” in the beach cafe in Spitz directly on the banks of the Danube. Own parking, access via the federal highway B3. We cross the Danube with the Rollfähre of Spitz after Arnsdorf and follow the towpath upstream. By type of wine Oberarnsdorf and past the mythical church of St. Johann, passing famous gardens with Wachau apricot trees, we finally reach the small friendly place Aggstein. Furthermore, 400m higher, enthroned the mighty castle ruins, once robber barons with a dark past. The way to our goal starts with a warning label: Please insert the 1st gear! 15 km / h!

2.5 km straight up leading Waldstraße we reach the ruins. Particularly attractive: a breathtaking view of the Dunkelsteinerwald, the upper Wachau and the southern Waldviertel.

An Impressive bulwark of medieval architecture and today set particularly handsome and with attention to detail for visitors servicing. A visit is always worthwhile! Then we plunge back down into the valley and return to the beach after Café Spitz!

With the Segway, it goes to the school enrollment Trough the old town of Dürnstein to large vineyard domain Wachau. From there with the famous Kellerschlössel to Dürnsteiner Kellerberg with stunning views of the famous site of the Wachau, Dürnstein.Weiter geht’s downhill and up again on the Sculpture Trail Loibenberg after Unterloiben.

We start in front of the Kunsthalle Krems / Cartoon Museum Krems http://www.kunsthalle.at/de/kunsthalle-krems with school enrollment. First we get an overview from Kögl, we (today campus) climb past the monastery “And”, the new and old houses of the Tobacco Monopoly. The steep terraced vineyards offer wine a wide view of the city, the mighty Göttweig and the foothills of the Wachau. On the way down we also roam the modern campus of the young university town.

Subsequently, in the old town of Stein. Picturesque alleys and romantic angles characterize the carefully cultivated image of the city quieter part of the twin city of Krems and Stein.

Up on the Steiner Kellergasse to Rebentor, back down the rear driveway (great views of the Frauenbergkirche). In Steiner Landstrasse it comes slowly like a time traveler in the Renaissance past the stately mansions (Old Toll House, Mazettihaus, Passauerhof, Minoritenkirche, …) with the romantic courtyards back to the present to the Kunsthalle Krems, with exhibitions of classical modernism up to contemporary programs.

Up on the Steiner Kellergasse to “Rebentor” and down again we drive to the enchanting Reisperbachtal and the forest paths of the nature trail to Hubertushütte. There we change the side of the valley and continue along the height (450m) of Eglsee. From there the tour takes us on the way through the wine terrace landscape that umschmiegt stone. We can expect beautiful views into the land about Krems and Stein, Göttweig and in the decaying Danube valley of the Wachau.

About the fright mountain and the stone jump (steep) we reach the old town of Stein and via the rear driveway the Frauenbergkirche.
